Mother's Day 2012

Waiting for breakfast on Mother's Day.  She plopped down right in front of the pantry with her lovies and her book!  Love that smile and those little toddler feet!

Have Dum Dums will travel...

We just survived our first plane trip as a family of 5...to Arizona!  While it was hairy at certain moments (like when Audrey Kate dumped a guy's rum and Coke into his lap on the flight out:) we also had some great moments as well.  I'll let the pictures tell the story...

Audrey had her first sucker!  6 of them actually - all in less than 4 hours!  Whatever keeps the kiddos happy at 35,000 feet, I say!

Ethan had a borrowed DS from a friend that sucked the brain cells right out of him!

Seriously, this one would not give a normal smile for all the cacti in Arizona...

Playing in the water at Desert Ridge Mall!  All the locals had on long sleeves but not my chicas - swimsuits all the way, baby!  We're from Ohio and anything above 70 is WARM to us!

 

 

 

 

Family outing to the Phoenix Zoo!  It was such an awesome zoo and everyone had a great time!

This tortoise was running a full out sprint to the other side of his/her habitat.

They had an awesome giraffe/African safari exhibit!  Watching airplanes land was an added bonus for our geeky plane loving family members!

We hit up Sprinkles on our last day in Scottsdale!  I was thrilled to be there but no one was wanting to take a decent picture with me:(  My cupcake was delicious none the less!

While we are glad to be home my wheels are already turning with how to get back out there to see my family and the sun again soon!

If you catch us in the right mood, Madeleine and I will put on a cooking show for you! We get into our Williams-Sonoma aprons and bake chocolate chips cookies like a couple of pros! Madeleine is very big into taste testing our chocolate chips so I play along. Only for her sake, I swear. Her favorite things to say is, "Aaannnd we're back!" (from our pretend commercial break)

It's Wilbur time!

We thoroughly enjoyed time with our buddy Will this weekend! He was definitely more mellow than he usually is with Ethan but we had a great weekend!

We went to the zoo first where I learned that my battery wasn't charged in my camera. Ooopps! They had some special activities going on and hot chocolate for everyone. We were the only ones hanging out inside for a while and the boys just laid on these rocks and stared at the animals. It was nice to have the exhibit to ourselves.

We also made a trip to visit our friend Chuck E. Will, Ethan and Madeleine put away most of a large cheese pizza and played away their tokens!

Back at the Lee house we had dinner and chocolate chip cookie sundaes with homemade ice cream. Ethan asked if the boys could watch Star Wars downstairs so they got into their jammies and headed down. I decided to try for another picture and this is what I got...

Will said, "Mrs. Lee, I hate pictures!"

Take 2...so glad he decided to get that sweet, handsome face out for me! He even gave me a little smile!

I had to laugh at what my counter looked like at bedtime! Two Flovent inhalers = a sure sign that Will and Maddy are under the same roof!

Audrey needs a snack...

Audrey Kate is a busy girl these days. Recently she's found a love for helping herself to the pantry. Yesterday I found her in Multi Grain Cheerio bliss!

I jumped into the mess and started cleaning up. I knew we had one open box of Cheerios and one that wasn't opened yet....or so I thought!

That little booger ripped into the unopened box! (Please graciously ignore the clutter behind the boxes! Thank you!)

This morning he said that one of his front teeth was really wiggly. The sucker's been wiggly since October so I didn't get very excited...at first. He headed to the bathroom to get a look in the mirror. He wanted to get serious about his wiggling.
